Ambea acquires Danish care operations

Altiden, Ambea's Danish operations, acquires the care operations from EKKOfonden. EKKOfonden is one of Denmark's largest providers of social care for young people and adults.

- We continue our strategy and grow in Denmark within a priority service area. EKKOfonden has a well-established operation with a good reputation with both care receivers and clients. Through the acquisition, we create conditions for continued growth and development within Altiden, says Benno Eliasson, acting CEO Ambea.

EKKOfonden includes approx. 20 units and 170 beds all over Denmark. Revenue for 2019 was 250 MDKK.  The takeover is expected to take place during the second quarter of 2021, after approval by the authorities.
