Vardaga and Skanska will build new nursing home in Helsingborg
A new nursing home in Helsingborg is scheduled for completion during the last quarter 2020. The home will be constructed by Skanska and operated by Vardaga.
Villa Gåsen, will be the name of the facility and it will comprise 60 apartments and cater to people with dementia or age-related illnesses.
- We have a long tradition of good cooperation with Helsingborg City and we are proud to present a new and modern nursing home that will contribute to develop the elderly care, says Ulla Tansen, Business Area Manager, Vardaga.
The facility will be located at Planteringsvägen and will be furnished according to Vardaga’s award-winning residential concept. The interiors will combine function with Nordic design to create a warm, homely and functional living environment. The colours and fixtures are adapted for the ageing eye – based on research and evidence-based practice – and designed to facilitate wayfinding for people with dementia.

Vardaga already operates four nursing homes in Helsingborg and one more is under construction, Villa Öresund, scheduled to be opened during the winter 2019.
