Milligan, Walker Join American Dental Association D.C. Office

The American Dental Association announced two additions to its Washington, D.C., office: Sarah Milligan as director of the American Dental Political Action Committee; and Mindi Walker as congressional lobbyist.

Originally from Pensacola, Fla., Sarah Milligan attended Indiana University in Bloomington. After earning her degrees in political science and Russian and East European studies, she joined the staff of Rep. Steve Buyer (R-Ind.). In four years with Rep. Buyer, Ms. Milligan worked on a number of specific projects, some of them with Energy and Commerce Committee staff. In the 112th Congress, Ms. Milligan provided an integral role in the office of Rep. Marlin Stutzman (R-Ind.), serving as the congressman’s senior advisor. She has also worked for the National Association of Broadcasters. Ms. Milligan is a volunteer for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Mindi Walker has more than 10 years of government and governmental affairs experience in the federal and state legislative areas. Before joining the ADA, Ms. Walker served as staff for the House Committee on Small Business. She had previously worked for the House Government Oversight and Reform Committee and the Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs. She also served at the Department of Veterans Affairs as a presidential appointee under President George W. Bush. Ms. Walker holds a master’s degree in legislative affairs from George Washington University, and bachelor degrees from Indiana University. She anticipates receiving a master’s degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College in 2013.
