Memphis, Tenn., May 4 , 2011 - American Home Shield, a leading national provider of home warranties, recently kicked off its annual Live Green Save Green campaign to help homeowners adopt more energy efficient practices and reduce their environmental footprint, just in time for the hot summer weather when energy usage spikes across the nation.
Live Green Save Green centers around a social community (http://LiveGreenSaveGreen.com) for homeowners and enthusiasts to share strategies on living a more eco-friendly lifestyle. The 5,000-member community is expected to grow with the announcement of a $15,000 Go Green Win Green Sweepstakes and a new component called Three Degrees of Preparation, which will encourage supporters to raise their thermostat three degrees on June 1 in an effort to reduce energy usage across the nation for one day.
“Making your home more energy efficient is an investment with both short- and long-term results, and there are things you can do on any budget,” said American Home Shield President Dave Crawford. “That’s the great thing about the ‘Three Degrees of Preparation’ challenge; it’s easy to do – and it can have a big impact at home and across the country.”
Now through September 2, 2011, American Home Shield, through Live Green Save Green, is offering $10,000 in Sears gift cards through five weekly drawings of $100 each. The Go Green Win Green Sweepstakes will cap off the campaign, awarding a $15,000 Sears gift card. Eligible visitors can check out sweepstakes rules and enter once daily at http://LiveGreenSaveGreen.com.
