AMA Adopts New Policies at Annual Meeting
CHICAGO – June 19, 2012 – The American Medical Association (AMA), the nation’s largest physician organization, voted today during its annual policy-making meeting to adopt the following new policies:SOLUTIONS FOR NATIONAL DRUG SHORTAGES: A drug shortage may compromise and delay treatments, leading to the progression of diseases, adverse outcomes or therapeutic failures.
