APhA Brings ‘Patient-Care Services’ to Capitol Hill

What:      On September 22, the American Pharmacists Association is hosting the 4th Annual Capitol Hill Health Fair

 

Who:       American Pharmacists Association in partnership with the Office of Representative Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (R-GA), the National Association of Chain Drug Stores, the National Community Pharmacists Association, the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and Walgreens.

 

Where:   Rayburn House Office Building, located on Independence Avenue between First Street SW and South Capitol Street in Washington, DC. The event will take place in Rayburn Foyer.

 

When:     Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 10am – 2pm

 

Why:       With public health topics at the center of the Nation’s news cycle, the Capitol Hill Health Fair will promote healthy habits and raise awareness of the importance of precautionary screenings and immunizations. Pharmacists will give flu shots and health screenings, including bone density, glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, and body composition to members of Congress, staff, and the general public in the Rayburn Foyer in the Rayburn House Office Building from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

 

*Note: Photo/video opportunities of Members of Congress and others getting flu vaccinations and screenings will be available.
