Wausau, WI - Laser 2014, the 34th Annual International Conference of the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, Inc. (ASLMS) is slated to take place April 2-6, 2014 in Phoenix, Arizona.
The conference will be a forum at which a multidisciplinary array of scientists, clinicians, residents, students, health care professionals, and industry representatives can come together to learn, share, investigate, and create ideas. Laser 2014 will not only be an educational opportunity, but also an incubator for new ideas and inventions.
“The dramatic surge in research and development in the field will be presented through cutting-edge abstracts, as well as through expert panels and sessions focused on clinical and scientific controversies. Current practice will be reviewed in clinical application courses, and in experts-in-the-hall sessions. Among the new offerings at this meeting will be numerous intimate breakfast and lunch small-group sessions, which will be highly interactive. Also, there will be directed education for resident and fellow trainees,” said Murad Alam, M.D., MSCI, 2014 Program Chair.
Featured topics at Laser 2014 include photobiomodulation, photodynamic therapy, cutaneous laser surgery, experimental and translational research, surgical applications and interstitial laser therapy, merging lasers and technology for nursing/allied health, and laser review and clinical pearls for residents and fellows.
“We have an exceptional keynote speaker this year, Steven M. Zeitels, M.D., F.A.C.S., Eugene B. Casey Professor of Laryngeal Surgery at Harvard Medical School, and Director at the Center for Laryngeal Surgery and Voice Rehabilitation at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. We are extremely excited about his lecture which will take place during the plenary session,” said Dr. Alam.
