Changes in Microcirculation for Improving the Early Detection of Colon Cancer
For Immediate Release July 23, 2013 Wausau, WI – Weston Welge, B.A., B.S., M.S., a graduate of the University of Arizona, is a recipient of an American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, Inc. (ASLMS) 2013 Research Grant. Welge is a student recipient, who conducted research on systems that allow for earlier detection of colon cancer. The manuscript is titled “Mild Temperature Hyperthermia Inducing Doppler Optical Coherence Tomography Endoscope for Early Detection of Colorectal Cancer in a Mouse Model”. In his research, Welge was working on an endoscope that combines the
