AmeriHealth Caritas Louisiana Selected to Continue Caring for Louisianans Most in Need
DHH Awards New Three-Year Contract to Serve Bayou Health Program
AmeriHealth Caritas Louisiana announced today that it has been selected by Louisiana’s Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH) to continue serving participants in the Bayou Health Medicaid Managed Care program. AmeriHealth Caritas Louisiana was one of five health plans awarded three-year contracts by DHH to provide Medicaid managed care services beginning on February 1, 2015.
One of the original Bayou Health plans, AmeriHealth Caritas Louisiana began caring for vulnerable Louisianans in February 2012. Through a network of more than 10,000 providers (primary care providers, specialists and hospitals) and a community outreach team with a presence in every part of the state, as well as community investment projects and partnerships with local and national organizations, AmeriHealth Caritas Louisiana is helping to build healthy communities in each of Louisiana’s 64 parishes.
