AMETEK Solidstate Controls Launches New Power Product Line
COLUMBUS, OH – AMETEK Solidstate Controls, Inc. (SCI), a leader in highly customized uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), today introduced two new families of power products, the DVS Power Conditioner and ISN Ferroresonant Regulation Transformers. Both are designed for use with its inverters, UPS systems or for stand-alone operation.
“Suitable for harsh environments, the robust design of these units accommodates wide variations of incoming AC line voltages, while simultaneously producing a well-regulated, isolated AC output,” comments John Ely, Marketing Manager for SCI. “SCI is proud to offer such highly reliable units that feature a 20-plus-year design life.”
The DVS power conditioner utilizes a copper-wound, triple-shielded, low-impedance isolation transformer in a single system enclosure. It also incorporates state-of-the-art microprocessor technology and independent phase regulation engineered to eliminate voltage spikes and sags.
The ISN Series power conditioners are ferroresonant regulating transformers housed in single system enclosures. ISN Series units have a unique characteristic of being short circuit protected so that overloads and short circuits on the secondary side are not reflected back to the primary.
