AMETEK Solidstate Controls Sets the Stage at OTC with DSE Uninterruptible Power Supply System
COLUMBUS, OH— AMETEK Solidstate Controls, a leader in highly customized uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), announced today that its highly anticipated DSE Uninterruptible Power Supply System will be on display at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) 2015, May 4-7, 2015 in Houston.
The DSE is an industry first that is sure to get a lot of attention. It combines the best of both worlds - ferroresonant topology with digital communications. The DSE is a true, on-line, double conversion UPS system that provides continuous, clean, regulated power for critical AC loads.
“This product is one we have worked on for a long time. After announcing its development to the industry in 2014, we are excited to show it off to all of our customers and partners at OTC 2015,” comments John Ely, Marketing Manager at Solidstate Controls.
“The DSE Uninterruptable Power Supply System offers the reliability and robust design of a ferroresonant transformer along with the digital control and communications typically found only in our pulse width modulation (PWM) products. This product is unmatched, and we are extremely proud of it.”
Designed specifically for process control in demanding industrial applications, the DSE combines the digital control, enhanced communications, monitoring and diagnostic capabilities of a PWM UPS system with the proven rugged design and reliability of a ferroresonant transformer.
In addition, the DSE system features the same LCD panel and user friendly touch-screen display as Solidstate Controls’ digital ProcessPower® line of UPS systems.
Among the additional benefits of the DSE are AMETEK’s ferroresonant design, which has more than 50 years of field-proven reliability, high mean time between failures (MTBF) that exceeds 205,000 hours or 23 years of service, and a rugged industrial construction.
All Solidstate Control UPS systems come with custom design assistance and global 24/7 field service that includes a technical assistance network in more than 20 countries and installed equipment in more than 70 countries worldwide.
