AMETEK Rotron (www.rotron.com) has introduced an advanced tubeaxial fan with aerodynamic, motor and DC drive technology that delivers best-in-class performance for its compact size. The new Propirad 28 VDC fan delivers 200 CFM at 4 iwg with an overall fan efficiency approaching 45% -- in a package measuring only 9.5 cm (3.75”) in diameter.
The Propirad fan is designed to provide either high flow spot cooling or centralized cooling of avionics, electronics and boost fan applications in ducted systems. Developed initially for use in helicopters, they are appropriate for any airborne applications requiring high output and low weight. They are designed and built to comply with applicable military and commercial specifications.
Performance features include complex blade geometry, lightweight materials and advanced DC drive architecture. Multiple configurations are available to meet a wide range of system requirements.
AMETEK Rotron is a division of AMETEK, Inc., a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices with annual sales of US$4.0 billion.
