Solidstate Control Launches New Western Customer Service and Training Center

COLUMBUS, OH—As part of its continuing effort to expand customer service, AMETEK Solidstate Controls (AMETEK SCI), a global leader in industrial uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, has launched its new Western Service Center and Customer Training Facility in Carlsbad, CA.
Similar to an existing service/training center near Houston, TX; the new facility offers hands-on training for customers of Solidstate Controls’ industrial UPS, battery chargers, inverters and all of its power products. The center is outfitted with state-of-the art 60-inch smart white boards. Click here for a calendar of upcoming training classes.
Along with the training center, the facility houses a service center and parts depot, providing improved coverage of AMETEK SCI’s installed equipment base in the western United States and western Canada. The center also plans to host leading battery expert Marco Migliaro and his renowned industrial battery training symposiums.
“Our new Carlsbad facility represents significant expansion of our customer service capabilities,” notes Jason Cotton, AMETEK SCI’s Director of Customer Service. “It greatly increases our ability to serve our customers in that region as well as doubles our current classroom capabilities for true hands-on training.”
Design work began on the new Carlsbad facility began in July 2014 with construction completed in September of 2014.
