Amuse Presents 2019’s Midem Artist Accelerator and Finalists
Midem - the home of the global music community - today announced the finalists selected in the 2019 Midem Artist Accelerator competition. This year’s edition Is presented by Amuse - the re-imagined record label giving free music distribution and empowering tools to artists over the globe.
Celebrating its 5th edition, the Midem Artist Accelerator (MAA) programme this year has seen a record number of submissions, with a 35% increase on 2018, including entries from 24 new countries.
MMA gives artists the opportunity to have their music heard by a world-leading panel of experts, offering entrants access to on-site mentoring and networking at the highest level, profiling in Midem’s communications, features on the Official Midem 2019 Vinyl Compilation and the chance to perform on a beach stage on the stunning French Riviera during the Midem By Night live series.
Midem Director, Alexandre Deniot, is proud to announce this year’s chosen finalists: Acido Pantera, Alexander Oscar, Anya, Blanche, Bo Ningen, Dalex, Kyan, Moonchild Sanelly, Mullally, Sauti Sol and Rasha Nahas.
We’re so pleased to have seen such a boom in entries for 2019, particularly the diversity of genres and nations represented. With our commitment to working in developing regions through the High Potential Markets Programme, including the African and Latin American Forums, we’re especially excited to welcome submissions from countries in those areas, such as Kenya, South Africa, Puerto Rico and Colombia. I wish all the finalists the best of luck and look forward to seeing them perform in Cannes this June.
This year’s MAA is presented by re-invented record label and music distribution platform, Amuse, for the first time.

Previous year’s MAA alumni include successful acts from all over the world, such as South Africa’s AKA, who released his third studio album Touch My Blood two weeks after Midem 2018. It went gold in South Africa in 6 days. 2017’s Be Charlotte (UK) has since signed to Columbia Deutschland/Sony Music Germany after being spotted in Cannes, Prateek Kuhad (India) is currently touring with Charlie Winston after meeting his manager at Midem, and Kiddy Smile (France) featured in the latest Gaspard Noe movie, Climax. He was also invited by French President Emmanuel Macron to DJ at the annual Fête de la Musique held at the Elysée in Paris. 2015 acts Ghetts (UK), featured on Giggs’ new album, Big Bad and Andreya Triana (UK) is part of the FIFA 2019 soundtrack with the single, Beautiful People.
