amuse’s New Early Access is Bringing the Industry’s Fastest Streaming Payouts to Emerging, Self-releasing Artists
April 19, 2022 | Since launching its data-driven royalty advance service Fast Forward in 2019, next-gen music distributor and label amuse has calculated and paid out more than 6,500 automized advances ranging from as low as $50 USD to hundreds of thousands of dollars. Now, the company is expanding its set of smart financing services to include artists making even smaller amounts of royalties. Taking a swing at the streaming services’ long payout timelines, Early Access enables distribution users to access upcoming payouts as small as $10 USD up to 2 months faster compared to competitors. The new feature is seamlessly integrated into amuse’s apps and available to amuse distribution users.
– Early Access is a game-changer for the independent artist community. Getting paid is one of the biggest challenges for an artist today. When it comes to revenue from streaming services, the current industry infrastructure means you won’t see those royalties until several months after the streams are actually made. We want to simplify the experience for independent artists, and the launch of Early Access means that even those who are at the beginning of their music career can get access to their confirmed royalties sooner rather than later, says Roshi Motman, CEO at amuse.
Early Access is the latest addition to amuse’s set of smart financing services, letting self-releasing artists get faster access to their upcoming royalties without having to sign away master rights or deal with finance institutes. The service builds upon amuse’s mission to offer artist-friendly tools that allow artists to build their careers on their own terms.
With no need for human interaction or application forms, Early Access automatically makes upcoming payouts available. The feature is seamlessly built into theWalletsection of amuse’s apps and lets eligible users easily browse and withdraw their upcoming royalties against a small individual fee, based on the structure of the offer. Offers are updated multiple times a month, as new data comes in from music stores and streaming services.
– Fast Forward has been an instant success since day one, to the extent that our apps are now processing thousands of automated offers every year. We’re very pleased to expand our proprietary technology and make its benefits available to even more users, through what I would consider the most user-friendly experience on the market, continues Erik Ljungqvist, Chief Product Officer at amuse.
Apart from Early Access and Fast Forward, amuse’s apps offers features such as fast lane distribution and support, pre-saves, royalty splits, multi-artist profiles and team accounts. amuse’s apps are available foriOS, Android and web.
