New York, NY (December 14, 2022) - Today, global music company Amuse is thrilled to announce Karl Skoog as CMO to lead the marketing and communications teams with a global focus on growth. Karl has extensive experience combining insights and creativity to enhance brand awareness and expansion. He was previously CMO at global creative powerhouse Fotografiska, where he led their international development, and NGO The Swedish Brain Foundation. Karl also has vast experience working as Head of B2B Marketing and Product at Tele2, and EMI Music Publishing.

Since its launch in 2017, Amuse has quickly established itself as a top-tier music industry challenger by empowering independent artists to build their careers on their own terms. This is achieved through technology-driven talent discovery and a passion for amplifying the exploding global independent community. As a result, they're transforming the status-quo of the conventional music industry.

Since launching, they've expanded their offering with their AI-based royalty advance service Fast Forward, and the upgraded distribution service Amuse Pro, creating new ways for emerging talent to be discovered. From there, artists get access to the marketing and management support they need at Amuse's record label to elevate their careers in untraditional ways.

With over two million users globally, Amuse is currently the fifth largest music distributor in the world, in terms of releases per month. The company is continuously working with multiple gold and platinum streaming artists, including U.S indie sensations Yot Club, rising Canadian rap/R&B artist 80purppp, and most recently one-to-watch, Ryan Mack, who all have millions of listeners monthly.

"It feels truly amazing to become a part of the Amuse team, who redefines the music industry in a disruptive way" notes Skoog. "We are in the middle of an exciting phase of growth, as more and more artists are discovering Amuse and are thrilled about what we offer them. I'm looking forward to helping artists build their careers on their own terms, fueled by our unique discovery platform".

The addition of Skoog as CMO, is one of the important updates to management roles at Amuse in 2022. Roshi Motman was appointed CEO of the company in January, after previously serving as COO. Roshi was also one of Amuse's original angel investors.

"2022 has been an exciting year for us, in our ever-evolving mission to amplify independent artists' careers and create the biggest possible impact for them. Our artist teams are experts in marketing strategies with a deep understanding of the current music landscape who are helping our artists to grow into their full potential, while they can focus on creating their art", comments Motman.
