ÅF Group chief consulting company for Citytunneln in Malmö The Citytunneln company has signed an agreement with a consortium comprising the consulting companies ÅF-Group and Tyréns concerning the investigative work and design engineering processes for technical rail traffic installations, such as track, electrical and telecommunication facilities for the City of Malmö's new, 18-kilometre rail link scheduled for completion in 2007. In all the project amounts to a total of SEK 7 billion. The ÅF-Group has been appointed chief consulting company. The rail link will run from Malmö Central railway station to connect with the main line over the Öresund Bridge and the tracks running east towards Trelleborg and Ystad. The contractor for the construction project is the Citytunnel Consortium in Malmö, which is owned jointly by the Swedish National Rail Administration (Banverket), Swedish State Railways (SJ), the City of Malmö and the local regional government, Skåne Region .
