New ebike shop will get Leicester’s commuters in the saddle
A business start-up in Leicester is aiming to inspire a new generation of cyclists when it opens the doors to the city’s first premier ebike shop on Tuesday 14thApril.
Justebikes, on Hinckley Road, is encouraging more people to get in the saddle and give cycling a go by swapping their car for an electronic bike for the daily commute.
Taking the effort out of conventional cycling, ebikes feature an electric motor, control system and rechargeable battery, so you can cycle to work without the sweat.
Martin Cronk, owner of Justebikes, is launching the new business after becoming an ebike convert, losing seven stone in 18 months as a result.
Martin comments: “I’m delighted to be opening Leicester’s first premier ebike shop, especially as they have had such a major impact on my life.
“The beauty is that you can decide how much work you want to do yourself and how much you want the bike to do, it means that anyone can give Bradley Wiggins a run for his money without breaking a sweat.
“They have really taken off in Europe, with around 20% of bike journeys now made by ebike, but many people still need converting in the UK.
“It’s all about putting the fun into cycling and showing that anyone can give it a go.”
Justebikes, which is near the junction with Woodville Road, will stock the latest ebikes on the market, including everything from the Sparta range and fold-up commuter bikes to the fun-filled Rotwild mountain bike range.
Martin has also set up a BKool simulator, which features over 500,000 cycle routes, so visitors can ride anywhere in the world while testing out the difference between a bike and an ebike.
Prices start from £699.
