A charity fundraiser with Leicester boxing hero Rendall Munroe is aiming to raise a knockout sum for two local causes on Friday 12th February.

Cross Productions has teamed up with the WBA International Super Bantamweight Champion, nicknamed the Boxing Binman, to host a sportsman dinner at the Cow and Plough in Oadby.

Guests can enjoy a three course meal and question and answer session with Munroe, while raising money for the Matt Hampson Foundation and Bodie Hodges Foundation through an auction and fundraising game.

The Matt Hampson Foundation supports and assists individuals who have suffered serious injury or disability by providing funding for equipment, technology and other expenses.

The Bodie Hodges Foundation is raising £150,000 to buy a holiday home to provide families with respite following the death of a child.

Jenny Cross, of Cross Productions, comments: “We’ve teamed up with Rendall Munroe to create an event that boxing fans will love. From binman to European boxing champion, Rendall is a local legend and sporting hero, so this event offers a great opportunity for fans to meet him and put questions to him that they’ve always wanted to ask.

“We’ll also be raising money for two well deserving charities, the Matt Hampson Foundation and Bodie Hodges Foundation, which provide great support for local people. We will have a great collection of products and experiences up for auction and will host a fundraising game to ensure we raise a great sum for these two charities.”

The event is priced at £50 per person and takes place at the Cow and Plough, Gartree Road, Oadby, from 7pm on Friday 12th February.
