AniCura establishes a strong European platform within specialised veterinary care
Swedish veterinary care provider AniCura is pleased to announce its expansion into continental Europe. AniCura’s animal hospitals and clinics are now represented in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands, where its 2 500 veterinary professionals attend to more than a million companion animals annually.
AniCura is a family of carefully selected animal hospitals and clinics, providing high-quality and specialised veterinary care for companion animals. Services range from preventive and basic health care to advanced diagnostics (including CT and MRI), internal medicine, intensive care, surgery and orthopaedics, as well as rehabilitation, physiotherapy and dietary advice. Due to AniCura’s position within specialised veterinary care, more than one third of all its patients are referred from external veterinary practises.
– We are delighted about the many reputable animal hospitals and clinics deciding to join AniCura, sharing our vision of shaping the future of veterinary care. Together, we positively influence quality of care in each market we are present. Reasons to join AniCura include our differentiation within the veterinary industry, our unique operating model, strong culture and passionate people, says Peter Dahlberg, CEO of AniCura.
With 800 veterinarians, of which a large proportion are highly specialised, AniCura provides a great environment for knowledge and best practice sharing as well as quality development. AniCura runs an in-house programme for systematic quality improvement, QualiCura, and the AniCura Research Fund every year supports a number of clinical research projects within veterinary medicine.
Since 2011, AniCura has recruited 500 new members of staff and invested more than €50 million in education, modern equipment and upgrading of facilities. AniCura reinvests all surpluses in the business to strengthen and develop its operations and none of the owners receive dividends.
– Whilst our development over the past four years has been tremendous, we are only at the beginning of our journey. With customer and staff satisfaction at very high levels, and the fact that we are attracting a growing number of incredibly talented animal hospitals and veterinary professionals, we feel strengthened in our belief that we have created a good foundation on which to build an industry leader, and we see great potential for further development, continues Peter Dahlberg.
