Kleintierklinik Dres. Maier-Lutter-Wieland in Germany joins AniCura

AniCura, one of Europe’s leading providers of high-quality veterinary care for companion animals, acquires Kleintierklinik Dres. Maier-Lutter-Wieland in Heilbronn. The cooperation with AniCura provides the clinic with a professional partner for its continued development as well as access to a large network of veterinary professionals, allowing for medical and scientific knowledge sharing and continuous specialisation.

Kleintierklinik Dres. Maier-Lutter-Wieland was founded as a veterinary clinic in 1989 by veterinarians Dr Ramona Maier and Dr Franz Xaver Lutter. Nowadays, the team comprise 26 employees, including ten veterinarians, and provides veterinary services around-the-clock, both through booked appointments and for emergency cases. The clinic has approximately 18 000 patient visits per year of which a third are referred from veterinarians in the Heilbronn region.

The clinic is focused on small animal medicine (dogs, cats and other companion animals) and amongst others employs two German veterinary specialists (Fachtierärzte für Kleintiere). Veterinary competence areas include surgery (soft tissue and orthopaedics), cardiology, ophthalmology and diagnostic imaging. Facilities encompass 600 square meters and contain an intensive care unit, operation rooms, in-house laboratory and various equipment for diagnostic imaging, such as a spiral CT (Computed Tomography) and endoscopy.
