Celebrating their first anniversary this week, Chef Daniel Boulud’s first UK restaurant, Bar Boulud, London at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park has enjoyed an extraordinarily exciting and rewarding year. A recent addition to The S.Pellegrino Top 100 Best Restaurants in the World, the lively bistro has served up over a quarter of a million covers since opening last Spring, with a record number of over 900 sittings in one day, consolidating it’s reputation as one of London’s most popular dining hotspots. In addition to this great accolade, Bar Boulud, London was voted ‘Best Restaurant of the Year 2010’ by Time Out Magazine, ‘Best Burger in Town’ by The Observer and one of London’s 10 Buzziest Openings of 2010 by Zagat. Bar Boulud will be offering a special birthday burger consisting of Moroccan spiced lamb patty with sweet pepper ragout, cucumber yoghurt, chickpea fries, harissa ketchup. This costs £15 and is offered from 6th – 13th May 2011. A tempting new Spring menu includes Creamy Jerusalem Artichoke Soup with Caramelized Cep Mushrooms and Thyme Pesto; Grilled Butterflied Tiger Prawns sautéed in Brown Butter, Fresh Lemon Juice, Garlic and Parsley and Roasted Lamb Rump Steak with Rosemary Potato Gratin, Spring Vegetables and Smoked Garlic Lamb Jus. Not to be outdone, a full afternoon menu available from 3pm provides ample sustenance after a day of shopping with Salads, Oysters and the ever popular Burgers, Sausages and Croque Monsieurs. A new Bar Snack Menu is now available as the perfect accompaniment to the varied cocktail list, the full range of rare draught and bottled beers and the assorted selection of wines. Nibble on Crispy Pork Ears, Potted Brown Shrimp or Confit Duck Leg amongst a range of other delights! For the wine connoisseurs, Bar Boulud will also be hosting monthly Wine Dinners along with acclaimed Sommelier, David Vareille and some of the world’s most renowned masters of wine. A happy symphony for concert lovers, Bar Boulud, London is proud to announce an exclusive partnership to become the preferred hotel partner to the world class Royal Albert Hall.
