ELBOW BEACH OFFERS LIVE STREAMING VIDEO SERVICE FOR DESTINATION WEDDINGS AND CONFERENCES

Elbow Beach, Bermuda is now offering a unique service that allows guests to broadcast their outdoor wedding or conference event live on the internet. Friends, family or colleagues are able to view the event live on their home computers, laptops or mobile devices. This means that guests or colleagues who cannot attend the destination conference or wedding, can still view a live video feed of the function from anywhere in the world. Elbow Beach is the first hotel in Bermuda that has the means to stream live video directly from its various outdoor function spaces. The property’s Information Technology Department has created a high speed wireless bridge that spans the physical gap between the hotel’s high speed internet network and the beautiful outdoor event areas, which include the Sea Breeze Garden, Alamanda Garden, Caprice Garden and the stunning resort beach. “As the most technologically advanced hotel in Bermuda, and in keeping with our mission of delivering extraordinary service and moments of delight, we are very happy to be able to offer this one of a kind service to guests,” said Frank Stocek, General Manager of the resort.” Mr. John Connolly, CEO of Innovative Photonic Solutions, whose daughter was recently married at Elbow Beach said, “My daughter Shannon almost cancelled her destination wedding in Bermuda because her grandmother wouldn’t be able to attend due to health related issues. However, through the magic of the internet and the Information Technology colleagues at Elbow Beach, Shannon’s grandmother was able to see her marriage to Nicholas live from Elbow Beach. It was truly a special moment for both of them.” This new streaming video service is available at the rate of USD250 (£161) per hour for the first hour and USD100 (£64) for each additional hour thereafter. This includes all setup and service fees for the event. About Technology at Elbow Beach In addition to being the only property on the island of Bermuda to have high speed wireless internet access property wide, Elbow Beach is the first hotel on the island to offer High Definition Television in each of its newly refurbished guestrooms. Through a partnership with CableVision Bermuda guests now receive a complete package of cable programming including 117 digital channels, 25 high definition channels and 46 music channels in the comfort of their guestroom. Each in-room entertainment system has been enhanced with an LCD flat screen television with a custom Control 4 audio visual interface experience in keeping with other Mandarin Oriental systems worldwide. The televisions have improved picture quality with greater detail and widescreen format. Sound systems have also been upgraded to Denon high fidelity sound systems which include DVD, radio and Ipod capabilities, which have also been integrated into the new television experience.
