FLAVIA CAPONI APPOINTED DIRECTOR OF SALES & MARKETING AT MANDARIN ORIENTAL HYDE PARK, LONDON Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London has announced the appointment of Flavia Caponi as Director of Sales & Marketing. Flavia joins directly from Mandarin Oriental, Geneva where, as Director of Sales & Marketing, she successfully re-launched the hotel following a multi-million Swiss Franc renovation of the public areas and restaurants. As a member of the hotel’s Executive Committee, Ms Caponi will oversee the Sales, Marketing, Communications, Reservations and Events functions, reporting to General Manager, Anthony McHale. A Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group veteran, prior to joining the Geneva property in 2005, Ms Caponi held the position of Director of Sales & Marketing at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok from 2001 to 2004. No stranger to the London property, she assisted the Director of Sales in the pre-opening stage of Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park from 1996-1998. Flavia also brings a wealth of experience from other leading hotel groups including The Peninsula and The Dorchester Collection.
