Cook, Chat, Drink with Head Chef Russell Plowman: 10th– 14th January Enjoy complimentary cookery days with Chef Russell Plowman including lunch, wine and transport. Each cookery day has been created to cover different topics and specialities. Russell and one of his team will take guest through various stages of the day including preparing lunch with a wine matched for each dish, explaining subjects from meat, fish, cheese to organic produce and giving guests the valuable recipes for future dinner parties! Music, Wine & Dine with Leading Musical Artists: 17th – 21st January Gilpin have organised for some top musical acts to entertain guests after a delicious tasting menu including carefully matched wines, coffee and house liqueurs. The week will be bursting with amazing musical talent, including Jeremy Sassoon with his trio of top piano based jazz players, The Trovatori Singers (Ex English National Opera singers) performing popular arias and duets from opera and operetta and other talents. Architecture, Wine & Dine with Ben Cunliffe 24th – 26th January Enjoy a potted architecture course with Ben Cunliffe including a 3 course lunch with wines. Ben Cunliffe Architects have carried out all architectural work at Gilpin since 2002. He will cover a variety of subjects on architecture including a brief history, principles of design and the law to offer guests a unique and personal insight into the world of architecture. Design, Wine & Dine with Sarah Jane Nielson: 26th – 28th January For those who love interiors and design guests are invited to enjoy complimentary sessions with designer Sarah Jane Nielson with a 3 course lunch and wines. Sarah will hold an informal talk and presentation along with giving practical advice on interiors, discussions on her style and personal advice on how to create your own style. Gilpin Lodge is the perfect haven from which to explore the beautiful Lake District.
