Greywalls Hotel, situated on the edge of Muirfield championship golf course and just thirty minutes from Edinburgh, opens its doors this May with a new Chez Roux restaurant by legendary chef Albert Roux. With twelve golf courses within 5 miles, including championship courses Gullane, Luffness, North Berwick, Dunbar, Renaissance and Archerfield, Greywalls offers access to some of the finest links golf in Scotland. The region’s microclimate ensures there are more playable days than anywhere else in Scotland and with undulating fairways, hidden bunkers, gorse and heather lining the fairways, the area offers Scottish golf at its best. Overlooking the 9th green of Muirfield and designed by Edwardian architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, Greywalls Hotel has stayed true to its roots and today retains the original classical style for which it is renowned. The house has 23 en suite bedrooms, a warm and inviting whisky room, a traditional library overflowing with books, two tennis courts, a putting green and croquet lawn. Greywalls is opening on 1st May 2010 with double rooms starting from £215 per night including VAT and full Scottish breakfast, based on two people sharing.
