MANDARIN ORIENTAL HYDE PARK ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTIVE CHEF AND GENERAL MANAGER AT BAR BOULUD, LONDON Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London has announced the appointment of Dean Yasharian as Executive Chef and Stephen Macintosh as General Manager of Bar Boulud, London, due to open at the hotel in May 2010. Dean Yasharian Previously heading up the kitchen at Bar Boulud, NYC as Chef De Cuisine, Dean has worked alongside Chef Daniel Boulud for over six years, starting as Junior Sous Chef at his now Three Michelin starred restaurant Daniel in New York. Dean has managed and worked at all sections of the kitchen including banqueting and catering operations and has amassed more than 10 years of professional experience, specialising in classic and contemporary French and American cuisines. At Bar Boulud, London he will be responsible for a team of thirty sous chefs and cooks, overseeing the culinary operation out of the open-plan kitchen. With his invaluable training and knowledge of Bar Boulud’s culinary style, Dean will be instrumental in the successful opening of this exciting new project. Stephen Macintosh With an impressive history at some of London’s top hotspots including J. Sheeky’s and Monte’s, Stephen previously held a longstanding position as Assistant General Manager at The Wolseley. A highly motivated restaurant professional and a disciplined business administrator, Stephen will be responsible for orchestrating the Front of House team at Bar Boulud, London.
