Two New Destination Yoga holidays in Italy

Puglia and Rome The Italian retreats start in July 2010 from £625 per week Destination Yoga is delighted to announce that two beautiful new Italian destinations have been added to their portfolio of stylish yoga retreats: one a 16th-century masseria in Puglia and the other in the form of two beautifully restored 17th-century stone houses in the medieval village of Torri, just an hour away from Rome. Santa Maria Del Sole lies in the heart of the Itria Valley in Puglia and is an old farmhouse, elegantly restored in typical, old apulian style with many rustic authentic features still in place. Perched on a small hillock, it is surrounded by 15-hectares of gardens, wild forests, sprawling fields and boasts spectacular views over the olive groves and vineyards beyond. While the main house comfortably accommodates 10 guests, there is also the option to stay in a traditional Trulli house - the white conical buildings unique to the area - an experience in itself. There is also a massage room and a lovely pool for guests to relax in. In Sabina is equally beautiful, nestled in the magical hills an hour away from Rome and just 3km from the medieval and picturesque village of Torri. Surrounded by seven acres of lush grounds with its own natural spring, landscaped gardens, a pond and swimming pool, it is the perfect setting for a calming spiritual haven. The two beautifully restored 17th-century stone houses overlook olive groves and fruit trees with their own terraces to enjoy the vistas and stunning sunsets. Destination Yoga arranges superior yoga holidays for all levels of ability from beginners to advanced practitioners. Other venues this year include a stylish boutique hotel in a World Heritage Reserve, in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. All teachers at Destination Yoga have many years experience and teach a balanced mix of styles. Throughout the days, guests can take part in a variety of classes, and when not busy with yoga, enjoy the local area, a restorative massage or simply relax by the pool. The holidays include delicious healthy food with organic, locally sourced food and the opportunity to sample local traditional recipes.
