Anoto Group AB Awarded 5,000 Digital Pen Technology Order from Adapx

Stockholm, September 20, 2007 – Anoto Group AB, the inventor of the Anoto Digital Pen and Paper technology, announced its partner, Seattle based Adapx, has placed a significant order of 5,000 units of Anoto digital pens The order has been placed with Anoto pen manufacturing partner, Maxell. Licenses and subsequent revenues of approximately 320 000 Euro to Anoto will be dispersed and collected over the next 12 months.

Adapx incorporates Anoto digital pen and paper technology within its Capturx™ system for field data collection.

- “Building on our existing successes using Anoto digital pen and paper technology, this surge in orders comes as a result of Adapx’ recent introduction of Capturx integrations, making field data immediately available within our customers’ local applications. Specifically, Capturx for ESRI® ArcGIS 9.2 mapping software was launched in June at ESRI’s user conference with some 16,000 attendees. Both the interest level and number of leads generated at that event point to significant sales over the next twelve months”, said Adapx CEO, Ken Schneider.

Capturx built for Microsoft OneNote 2007 offers searchable notes, archiving, and functionality to convert handwritten to typewritten text.

Anoto’s solution that is integrated within the Capturx system is transforming the way users interact with technology by innovating human-centered systems and the accuracy, speed and reliability of information capture is improved.

Capturx has been adopted by both U.S. military and commercial organizations to ensure reliable and comprehensive communication of business- or mission-critical field data. Primarily used by organizations that rely on communication from personnel in the field, Capturx digitally enables the mode of data collection, including pen notations on maps and journals. The system allows field workers to adapt to new tools without any training as well as to perform their tasks without changing their working methods.
