Anoto Group AB’s Japanese subsidiary Anoto Nippon K.K. and Japanese company Order-Made Souyaku has signed a service provider agreement allowing Order-Made Souyaku to develop products and services based on Anoto Digital Pen & Paper technology.

Order-Made Souyaku, headed by one of the worlds’ leading specialists in gene technology, Yozo Ohnishi, is developing electronic medical record systems and clinical research systems for medical and healthcare institutions in Japan. The focus is on combining personalized medicine and healthcare with genetic information making it possible to select the most suitable medicine according to individual genetic information.

An electronic medical record system based on Anoto functionality and designed to be linked to “ORCA; Online Receipt Computer Advantage System”, developed by Japan Medical Association, will be introduced on the 21st Scientific Meeting of the International Society of Hypertension on October 15th to 19th in Fukuoka, Japan.

“This is a significant agreement for Anoto. We have already seen some very successful implementations of our technology in the healthcare sector in Europe and the US and we believe there is great potential in the Japanese market for this type of solutions. Combining electronic medical records with genetic information is a very new and innovative approach and we are very excited to be a part of this cutting-edge development,” says Anders Norling, CEO of Anoto Group AB
