Anoto Group Is Hiring a New CEO

Anders Tormod, Anoto Group's current CEO, will be leaving the company as of 31 December 2005. He will retain his CEO post until 1 October. Örjan Johansson will serve as acting CEO as of 1 October.

Anoto Group is in the process of hiring a new CEO in cooperation with a leading recruitment firm. Anoto's emphasis is on expansion and even more aggressive marketing efforts. All Swedish operations will be in Lund, and the Stockholm unit will gradually be phased out. Thus, the company is looking for a CEO in southern Sweden. Mr Tormod will retain his CEO post until 1 October and his employment with Anoto until the end of the year. “Anoto is moving more and more of its operations to Lund, while my family and I live in Stockholm," says Mr Tormod. “I've commuted between Stockholm and Lund for more than five years, and the need to be in Lund is increasing rather than decreasing. Now that the company is entering a new phase that focuses on expansion and marketing efforts, the time is ripe for a change.” “Given that growth prospects for the multimedia and system solutions (forms) markets are bright, we will be hiring new people and investing in those areas,” says Christer Fåhraeus, Chairman of the Board of Anoto Group. “We are looking for a CEO who can lead that long-term effort. “In his various roles at Anoto, most recently as CEO, Mr Tormod has been an important force in moving Anoto from early development to the current, more mature commercial phase. Earnings have improved substantially in 2005, and Anoto is sticking to its target of positive cash flow for the full-year 2005.” Örjan Johansson, Board Member and Executive Vice President of Anoto's Strategic Business Development, will take over as acting CEO on 1 October. He has long expressed a desire to focus on business development and major partners but will serve until the position is filled.
