Anoto Group signs 300 Million Yen (2.7 MUSD) contract with Unimicron Group in Taiwan

Unimicron Group and Anoto are to form a new company, Anoto Taiwan, to serve the Taiwan market with Anoto products and solutions. Unimicron Group is one of the leading PCB suppliers in the world with Net sales of 878 MUSD, and is the affiliated organization of UMC Group which is a world-leading semiconductor foundry. Unimicron had been selected as the recipient of the National Quality Award of Taiwan in 2005, the award is given to corporations with outstanding achievements in management. Unimicron Group and Anoto will form a new company, Anoto Taiwan. Anoto Taiwan will work as the Anoto representative in Taiwan and as a neutral entity appoint service providers and sell Anoto products and solutions on the Taiwan market. Anoto will hold a minority stake in the new company and be represented at the board of directors. Anoto will initially receive a Technology Access fee of 300 million Yen (2.7 MUSD). Going forward Anoto will receive 50-60% of Anoto Taiwan’s runtime license revenues. "It is our privilege to introduce Anoto to the Taiwan market.
