C Technologies' subsidiary Anoto is provided with SEK 600 million in financing C Technologies' subsidiary Anoto AB is implementing a new share issue that will provide Anoto with approximately SEK 600 million. The Mexican group PenMex (SEK 400 million), a major Swedish insurance company (SEK 50 million) and C Technologies (SEK 150 million) have subscribed for the new shares. The new share issue is based on Anoto being valued at SEK 2,1 billion before the new share capital. Approximately fifty percent of C Technologies' investment is set off against a loan to Anoto and the remainder constitutes a new investment. The form in which C Technologies will finance the new investment in Anoto has not yet been finalised. PenMex represents owners and industrial partners with stakes in Mexican mobile phone operators and telecom distributors. Anoto and PenMex have signed an agreement regarding implementation of the Anoto concept in the Latin American market. "The management estimates that these investments fully meet the capital requirements to finance Anoto until a positive cash flow is achieved, which is expected to occur in 2003. As a major owner constellation, PenMex provides the necessary capital contribution to ensure this as well as a speedy and effective entry to a new important and strategic market", says Christer Fåhraeus, President, Anoto AB. Anoto is prior to the implementation of the new share issue, owned by C Technologies (70%) and Ericsson (30%). Subsequent to the new share issue the ownership structure is the following: C Technologies 60%, Ericsson 23%, PenMex 15% and a major Swedish insurance company 2%.
