WeSpot and Bircher Reglomat sign commercial agreement for smart door sensor technology WeSpot has founded an alliance and signed a commercial agreement with the leading door sensor manufacturer Bircher Reglomat in Switzerland for all of the European markets. Under this Agreement Bircher Reglomat is going to promote existing vision based products and WeSpot is going to further develop new sensors to accommodate European end-customer needs. The WeSpot Smart Door Opener represents the next generation of door sensor technology, based on a vision sensor and an ASIC-processor with built in image processing and decision-making. More precise opening, closing and safety functionality are all in the same device - eliminating the need for multiple sensors. Increased safety, energy savings and easy installation are some of the additional benefits with the new WeSpot technology. Lars Holmqvist, CEO of WeSpot says that this alliance now closes a missing link for a worldwide distribution network for WeSpot's application of smart door openers. "Bircher Reglomat's experience and knowledge in the business of sensors in general and door sensors in particular give WeSpot a very strong position on the European market with this cutting edge technology". Rémy Höhener, CEO of Bircher Reglomat, says that "WeSpot's excellence in vision technology and its application for automatic doors form a strong addition to Bircher Reglomat's existing product portfolio. This combined expertise will allow for new opportunities apart from just sensing around doors to better meet existing and upcoming customer requirements for complete door management systems".
