Insurance Choice, the non-standard insurance specialist will hold a charity parachute jump at Nottingham Airfield this Sunday for the National Autistic Society after discovering several staff members have children with autism.

Insurance Choice, the non-standard insurance specialist, are just a few days away from a daredevil charity parachute jump, to be held this weekend in aid of autism sufferers and their families. Eighteen members of Insurance Choice’s team will jump out of a plane in a tandem parachute jump with Skyline Nottingham on Sunday 17th October. The jump aims to raise £6,715 for The National Autistic Society, a target that has already been comfortably passed. Thanks to some very generous donations, Insurance Choice, who provides non standard motor insurance amongst other non-standard covers, has already raised £8483.33. However more donations are still required as all monies raised will help those living with autism to receive the care and support needed to manage the condition and enjoy services such as specialist schooling. Donations can be made online at http://www.justgiving.com/insurancechoice/ The Autism Charity Jump has a special resonance for Insurance Choice. The firm recently discovered that several staff has children or family members with autism. Lee Murphy, Insurance Choice’s Sales Manager and one of the people involved in the parachute jump explains, “Having seen all that goes in to caring with an autistic child, I had been spurred on to raise money to help – e.g. the special school, help from teachers, help from social services. Schooling is more expensive for an autistic child so raising money is essential to help other families in the same position.” Mr Murphy’s eldest son is autistic, which inspired him to get involved. “The idea for a jump came because the office wanted to do something that was a bit more ‘out there’. We didn't want to do something like a sponsored walk, it needed to be challenging.” Insurance Choice have already managed to smash their donations target but hope to raise even more money in the next few days. All proceeds from the parachute jump will be donated to the National Autistic Society. The National Autistic Society is the leading UK charity for those with autism and their families. They provide information, support and services for those living with autism. In addition to the 500,000 people in the UK that suffer with autism there are countless family members and carers that need support, which the society delivers. Helping 100,000 people affected by autism each year, the National Autistic Society relies on donations to provide its services. Fund raising events such as that of non-standard insurance provider Insurance Choice are essential to the continued success of the charity.
