The adrenaline-rushing fun is now available for iPad users, with 25 frantic new levels

New York, NY -- April 11, 2011 -- Appular announces the latest update for their exhilarating color-matching puzzle game, Push Panic, which adds full iPad compatibility with the transition to a Universal app, along with numerous additional changes. Rated as a Top 25 App of 2010 by Metacritic, Push Panic introduces 25 new levels, a revamped live ranking system and new achievements for users to unlock through Game Center.

Push Panic delivers intense challenges in four action-packed gameplay modes. Players must create explosive color-coded combinations by tapping the boxes to push the groupings off-screen before the vibrant squares reach the red panic bar. Random power-ups include chain-links to combine multiple color strings, point multipliers, time freezes, bombs, and an arrow block that pushes the panic bar when players need a quick breather.

Adding to the spirit of competition are eight new achievements for players to strive towards as they aim to obtain the 75 gold medals while outranking opponents. Push Panic now features a completely remodeled ranking system and along with Twitter integration, it now provides users with faster loading times while pushing past live global rankings.

“Tablets are going to be the next big thing. From the moment I opened Push Panic on my iPad, I knew I had to make it universal for all iOS devices so that iPad users can experience the same heart-pumping gameplay as iPhone and iPod touch users,” says Barry Kostjens, developer of Push Panic. “Everything in this update is a direct response to feedback I’ve received, it truly is a tribute to our players.”

About Barry Kostjens and Ricardo de Zoete:
Barry Kostjens is an independent developer for iOS apps from the Netherlands. Prior to developing Push Panic, Barry developed iGangster, his first game for the iPhone platform, which was also featured by Apple. The success of iGangster seeded Barry’s dedication to learning more about Objective-C and coding, paving the way for the birth of Push Panic. In desperate need of a sophisticated graphics designer for Push Panic, Barry began searching on iPhone forums, where he found Ricardo de Zoete, who had the skills and knowledge in GFX to render the stunning graphics of Push Panic. Though the duo never met in person, they have joined together in a dynamic team to develop quality apps that paves the way for further creative innovations.
