Lodge to Offer Special Rates with Lake Quinault Lodge

PORT ANGELES, WASH. – May 6, 2013 – Now open for the season, Lake Crescent Lodge will stay open until January 1, 2014. The extended season comes at Olympic National Park’s 75thAnniversary, with special events and promotions throughout the season at both Lake Crescent Lodge and Lake Quinault Lodge.

Built in 1916, Lake Crescent Lodge pre-dates the creation of Olympic National Park by more than two decades. Lake Quinault Lodge, built in 1926, is the only lodge located directly in the Quinault rain forest. Both lodges hosted Franklin Delano Roosevelt during his visit in 1937. A year later, Roosevelt signed Olympic National Park into existence.

“The seventy-fifth anniversary is a great time to visit Olympic National Park and Forest,” says David Sloma, Vice President of Operations for ARAMARK Parks and Destinations. “Lake Crescent Lodge’s extended season and the Heritage Package will give guests more opportunity to experience all the park has to offer.”

The Heritage Package includes three nights at either or both of these charming and historic properties for $399 with $40 daily resort credit. The package can be booked at www.OlympicNationalParks.com with the promo code HERITAGE or by calling (888) 896-3818. Guests who wish to stay at both lodges must call for reservations.

More information on the 75thAnniversary and special events at Lake Crescent Lodge and other Olympic National Park and Forest locations can be found at http://www.olympicnationalparks.com/75anniversary.aspx.
