Arctic Gold AB (ARCT): New analyses from Bidjovagge

Report this content

Arctic Gold has carried out a testing program with old drill cores from Bidjovagge to verify the gold and copper grades. Overall the copper grades closely match when comparing old and new analyses. The gold grades match relatively well up to around 4 g/ton, and above this the results are more divergent.

The program is an important step in gaining knowledge regarding the quality of the older analyses, and thereby the reliability of these when carrying out estimations of the mineral resources and in the later stages converting to a mineral reserve.

The analysis program comprised around 150 new analyses from 52 drill cores (equivalent to 3% of all drill holes). The testing samples are obtained from drill cores of varying age and dimensions. The drill cores represent a typical sampling of the various mineralizations in the Bidjovagge area. For the most part the samples analyzed were from those sections of the mineralization included in the remaining mineral resources which Outotec made their estimations on.

Both higher and lower gold grades are found due to the fact that gold is unevenly distributed in the drill cores, as well as variations in the dimensions of the drill cores and the sampling size. This is totally normal and is of no consequence. If the same material which was analyzed previously still remained the results would probably match even better.

Attached is a table with analysis values from the remaining mineral resources and a diagram showing the comparison between old and new analyses.

A few interesting sections which warrant special mention are from Nordfältet where drill hole N300A and N300C contain several sections with very good gold grades.

Arctic Gold's business concept is to engage in exploration activities to discover and demonstrate commercially extractable gold and base metal deposits in Scandinavia; The strategy is primarily to carry out exploration work and either sell the project within a few years or to establish mining activities under the company's own control or through a partnership with other companies. Arctic Gold focuses mainly on the Bidjovagge project in northern Norway and current gold and base metal permits in Västerbotten and Norrbotten.
