Maud Olofsson is proposed as new board member in Arise Windpower AB (publ)
The Nomination Committee in Arise Windpower AB (publ) (”Arise Windpower”) has informed the company of its proposal for the Annual General Meeting 25th April 2012 regarding new board of directors. The Nomination Committee proposes that Maud Olofsson is appointed as new board member in Arise Windpower. It is proposed to re-elect Jon G Brandsar, Joachim Gahm, Birger von Hall and Peter Nygren. The Nomination Committee also proposes re-election of Pehr G Gyllenhammar as the Chairman of the board of directors.
Maud Olofsson has previously i.a. been the party leader of the Center Party (Sw. Centerpartiet) from 2001 to 2011 and Minister of Enterprise and Energy (Sw. Näringsminister) from 2006 to 2011. She was also Deputy Prime Minister during the length of office 2006 to 2011. Maud Olofsson was born in 1955.

Her vast political experience and deep competence in energy matters will be of significant benefit to the company. The other proposals from the Nomination Committee will be published in connection with the notice to attend the Annual General Meeting. The Annual General Meeting will be held 25th April 2012.
The Nomination Committee in Arise Windpower consists of Bengt Hellström (Tredje AP-fonden), Joachim Gahm (appointed by founders with family and companies), Albert Haeggström (Länsförsäkringar), Peter van Berlekom (Nordea Fonder) and the Chairman of the board of directors Pehr G Gyllenhammar. Shareholders who represent required majority of the votes in the company have announced that they are in favour of the proposal from the Nomination Committee.
