Artelon® CMC Spacer Arthro for arthroscopic surgery receives regulatory clearance for marketing in the USA

The biomaterials company Artimplant receives clearance for marketing Artelon® CMC Spacer Arthro, the company’s first product for keyhole surgery, in the USA. The product is indicated for thumb base osteoarthritis as Artelon® CMC Spacer. Small Bone Innovations, the licensee of Artimplant, now gets the opportunity to market the product at its domestic market USA.

President and CEO Hans Rosén says; “It is mainly at the U.S. market that surgeons wish to perform arthroscopic surgery. However, we do not expect this product to result in any significant sales increase, but mainly see it as a complement to our currently largest product Artelon® CMC Spacer.”
