Brooklyn Boutique Agency to Speak at Future of Web Design 2013
NEW YORK -- Ashe Avenue, a Brooklyn-based web development and design agency, is pleased to announce their acceptance to the Future of Web Design 2013 (FOWD) conference. The event will be held Oct. 7 to 9 at AMC Empire 25, in New York City.
This is the seventh annual FOWD conference, which features keynote speakers at the forefront of the web and technology design industry. There are speaker tracks – the Main Stage track and Rising Stars track.
Ashe Avenue CEO John McKinney and lead developer Tim Boisvert will be featured in the Rising Stars track. They will share their expertise in aesthetics and user experience (UX) when designing an editorial platform – a topic that Ashe Avenue has extensive experience in.
“We’re honored to be included on the impressive roster of speakers, and the fact that it’s being held locally in Manhattan this year is perfect for us,” McKinney said.
McKinney founded Ashe Avenue in 2007 and opened up shop in Brooklyn, N.Y. with a small team of developers. Since then, its portfolio has grown to include projects for VICE Magazine, High Times, AOL, MTV, ASICS, and Red Robin.
“We’ve worked closely with editors at VICE, AOL and other large brands to streamline and maximize the user experience of their editorial platforms, Boisvert said. “I think we have a lot to offer the FOWD audience, and editorial platforms might be an area that some designers overlook.”
As a boutique agency in a highly competitive field, Ashe Avenue has created sites that receive millions of daily visitors. The FOWD Rising Stars track is a perfect venue to educate the audience on the innovative ideas and thinking that go into every project Ashe Avenue is involved with.
