Global Business leaders look to give away over 1 million copies of their new book
Global economists agree that the western economies hit hardest by the recession and that includes the US and most of Europe, are unlikely to see any meaningful improvements in their economies for at least another 3 years.
So much of the ability to recover rapidly in western economies has been removed by the lack of availability for borrowing, that it looks like it will be down to business leaders and creative entrepreneurs to spearhead the recovery through strategic and creative management.
It is unlikely that a new book series alone will be the answer to all the economic problems, but The Business Leaders Book Club series has definitely caught the attention of the business community with a unique and personal compilation of success stories, packed with practical ideas and advice that can inspire the current generation of business leaders with concepts that are proven to work.
The book was the brainchild of Business owner Mark Stephens, from the F10 group, in the UK, who was looking at creative ways to get people to visit their new social multimedia website Ask The Experts. The project has subsequently led to the development of an ecommerce platform where their members can now download hundreds of practical business and lifestyle type books for free and the first book in the series Lessons Learned from The Recession, which is now available to download for downloading in their eBook Library.
Stephens told us “the uniqueness of this powerful book is that it provides a deep personal insight into the key decisions that these 60 successful business leaders had to make when faced with the recession. Upon reflection it is these decisions that they believe were the most critical and effective actions that enabled their businesses to not only survive but thrive during the worst global economic downturn in living memory. I knew that if we could identify and encourage the right contributors to this project, that we would have a winning formula and based on the feedback and glowing endorsements received already, we have done a reasonable job”. He went on to say that “although this was supposed to have been a marketing exercise for the Social Multimedia site, there has been so much interest in developing a series of books that we have formed a small team to work specifically on this project. I have to say that, although this was a massive learning exercise, I have been inspired and energized by the group of people who have contributed and I am sure that will be the reaction of most people who read the book. Having spoken with a number of the contributors in the book, it is evident that there was a common feeling amongst them that they felt good about being able to share what had worked for them alongside others in a free book and in some way “give something back”. There was also general feeling amongst them that getting this book together was a great achievement in itself, as they were all such busy people and hard to pin down, but felt that the outcome was very pleasing to see.
