Aspera Supports Growing Worldwide Post-Production Services at Deluxe
Expanded High-availability deployment supports global, high-speed digital workflows with faspex person-to-person file delivery, Connect Server, and centralized management
EMERYVILLE, Calif.—April 16, 2012—Aspera, Inc., creators of next-generation software technologies that move the world’s data at maximum speed, today announced that Deluxe Digital Studios, a subsidiary of Deluxe Entertainment Services Group Inc., and a leading provider of entertainment industry services and technologies to the major Hollywood Studios, is expanding its Aspera deployment to meet the growing demand for its industry-leading post production services.
The high-availability configuration of Aspera’s latest collaboration and management software, together with expanded network capacity and A10 Networks’ AX Series Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs), will increase capacity, shorten production cycles, and improve service levels as they scale operations.
“With the Aspera faspex and Connect Server software platforms we receive content from our partners and move file-based assets across our labs during post production at high speed, with robust security,” said Rick Moser, manager of worldwide transmissions at Deluxe. “With our growing production volume, and global nature of our business, we needed to increase capacity and strengthen our infrastructure, which we now have with our high-availability Aspera server configuration. The expanded cluster is available in our Aspera Console for management and visibility across the entire configuration.”
The faspex deployment allows production teams to collaborate quickly and efficiently including rapidly onboarding third parties to transfer digital files and directories at maximum speed with complete security within a very user-friendly interface, to meet short production timelines. The expanded deployment consists of Aspera Connect and faspex servers and A10’s AX 3000 ADCs with 10Gb port connectivity to ensure maximum system flexibility, availability and uptime. Aspera Console provides centralized transfer management, configuration, and reporting to ensure the system is operating at peak performance.
“Post-production studios need to ensure their digital supply chain can reliably scale to meet their extraordinary growth, and stringent quality of service,” said Michelle Munson, CEO and founder at Aspera. “We’re excited to continue to work with Deluxe as they expand their Aspera deployment in support of the sophisticated, global workflows that help make them an undisputed leader in digital post. The faspex and Connect Server platform deployed at Deluxe will robustly scale to support their automated and ad hoc content transfer around the globe.”
“We’re proud to provide Deluxe with our highly scalable AX Series Application Delivery Controllers, delivering application optimization for Deluxe’s users on mission critical applications,” said Lee Chen, founder and CEO of A10 Networks. “Our multi-tenancy feature enables individual partitions for multiple applications, which integrates securely into Deluxe’s virtualized network design for data center consolidation. In addition, entertainment service companies such as Deluxe benefit from our AX’s quick response time to improve the user experience.”
