Aspia Group advances sustainability agenda following strategic acquisition
Aspia Group, the leading Nordic business partner offering technology-enabled accounting, payroll, HR, tax, and advisory services, has released its 2024 Sustainability Report.
The report highlights a transformative year of strategic growth and enhanced sustainability efforts following the acquisition of Accountor. By adopting sustainability initiatives from both organisations, we are shaping a stronger, responsible business that aligns with the values of our employees and stakeholders.
"This year was about more than just growth. It marked the beginning of the integration between two strong organisations" says Ola Gunnarsson, Aspia Group CEO. "By establishing new governance structures and expanding our ESG services, we are actively shaping a more responsible business across the Nordics, that delivers long-term value for our customers, employees, and society.”
Some sustainability highlights from 2024:
- We are proud to be a top-ranked employer for young professionals in Sweden and Finland; recognised as a top 50 employer in Finland and top 30 in Sweden
- We have grown our local teams and expanded ESG reporting services to support more customers in their sustainability efforts.
- We have improved our climate footprint calculations and expanded Scope 3 emissions categories to reduce our environmental impact.
- Through our collaboration with Hand in Hand we have enabled 200 people, mainly women, escape poverty through entrepreneurship in Kenya since the project start.
- We have enhanced our sustainability governance by forming a Group ESG committee to advance our efforts and integrate sustainability into our processes.
As we move forward, we will pay continuous attention to cultural integration, strengthen our focus on diversity and inclusion at all levels, and managing change-related stress. We are committed to creating a workplace where every individual feels valued and supported in their professional development, upholding high standards of integrity in our service offerings, and striving to conduct our operations with minimal environmental impact.
