Aspiro TV selected as finalist for ConnectedWorld.TV Awards at the International Broadcast Convention - IBC 2011

Aspiro TV is shortlisted for the inaugural ConnectedWorld.TV Awards, to be presented at the IBC in Amsterdam in September. Aspiro is shortlisted in the category Best Service Delivery Platform, for its white label mobile TV & VOD streaming application.

Aspiro TV provides its compelling video experiences on consumer devices, powering services for network operators and broadcasters such as Deutsche Telekom, Telefónica O2, Telenor, MTV, Hi3G, BBC, Elisa and Entel.

The finalists in 15 categories for the inaugural ConnectedWorld.TV Awards were announced yesterday, with more than 150 entries received from organizations in 27 countries across Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas. The judging was undertaken by an international panel of experts.

In association with the IBC Connected World, the ConnectedWorld.TV Awards celebrate the creativity of broadcasters, independent producers, technology companies and consumer electronics manufacturers pioneering the business of ‘content everywhere’. To be presented at a gala dinner at the Hotel Okura Amsterdam on Monday 12 September, the penultimate night of IBC2011, the Awards showcase the many exciting developments arising from the growing use of broadband internet – both fixed and mobile - as an alternative distribution channel for TV and video content.

Aspiro TV is shortlisted for the Service Delivery Platform Award, for service delivery platforms that provide online video service providers with their ability to create new propositions and differentiate in the market, alongside companies such as Swisscom, Advanced Digital Broadcast and Amino Communications etc. IBC is the premier annual event for professionals engaged in the creation, management and delivery of entertainment and news content worldwide. Attracting more than 48,000 attendees from more than 140 countries, the conference exhibits more than 1,300 leading suppliers of state of the art electronic media technology and takes place in Amsterdam, Holland from 8 – 13 September 2011.
