Andy Chen will replace Peter Tonstad as CEO of Aspiro AB
The Board of Directors of Aspiro AB has appointed Mr Andy Chen as the new Chief Executive Officer of Aspiro AB (“Aspiro”). Mr Chen will remain in the role as CEO of WiMP, which he has held since 3 June 2013.
The reorganization of the management team is part of the company's strategy to further streamline the operations of Aspiro to focus on building upon its strong position within music streaming through WiMP.
Mr Chen replaces Peter Tonstad, who has been the CEO of Aspiro since November 2012. During his tenure Mr Tonstad has been a valuable contributor to the development of the company and in streamlining the group around music streaming. The Board is pleased that Mr Tonstad will remain in Aspiro and take over the position as Chief Commercial Officer in WiMP and leverage his strong industry experience to support the growth of the company going forward.
