Aspiro and Massive Entertainment launch new mobile game Swedish interactive games developer, Massive Entertainment, and Aspiro, a world leading developer of mobile applications and services, have consolidated their existing and successful partnership by launching a new mobile game and signing a Letter of Intent (LOI). The agreement opens the way for a whole range of exciting customer-oriented value added entertainment services aimed at operators and portal providers. The LOI means that Massive Entertainment will now develop mobile interactive games tailored to Aspiro's wireless applications and services. The first game, a Mobile Quiz, is ready to be launched onto the market now. It will shortly be followed by Mobile Chess and Mobile Dreamleague. The mobile games employ WAP and SMS technologies and give end-users alternatives to games already preprogrammed in cell phones purchased from different phone manufacturers. Before the end of the year the two companies plan to have launched a full portfolio of different mobile games. The LOI strengthens and reaffirms Aspiro's goal of offering operators and portal providers value added services that generate income in a globally competitive mobile telecoms market. In addition, both parties believe that there is a huge consumer demand for mobile entertainment services, and that they will quickly become a highly attractive service in the operators' battle to attract new subscribers. "The partnership with Massive Entertainment allows us to complement our product portfolios with more entertainment services for the international market. We can now offer new and exciting mobile games employing the latest technology. I am convinced that with their vast knowledge and skill in developing mobile games, Massive Entertainment will be an invaluable partner for Aspiro," says Christer Eriksson, Application Aggregation Manager, Aspiro Wireless Portal Services. "Aspiro's extensive knowledge of wireless telecom services makes them the ideal partner for us. Through their excellent contact network of global telecom companies and wireless operators we can already today offer cutting-edge entertainment products for the wireless market of tomorrow," says Martin Walfisz, CEO Massive Entertainment.
