Aspiro and SMHI sign agreement that puts sunshine into mobile phones SMHI, the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute, and Aspiro, a world leading developer of mobile applications and services, have signed a worldwide collaboration agreement. The agreement means that Aspiro will now offer weather information and reports, MetWorld , from around the world directly in the mobile phone. Weather information is a part of Aspiro´s portfolio of services and applications aimed at mobile telecom operators and portal owners, who in their turn can offer subscribers a new and useful service. With MetWorld users will always have access to local weather forecasts, whether they are on business, vacation or on the golf course. MetWorld offers specialized three- or five-day weather forecasts for more than 2,000 cities, towns, resorts and golf courses around the world. Mobile phone users can choose to receive instant weather forecasts with just a few clicks of a button or subscribe to a daily service. The service is expected to become popular among golfers who now have the possibility of checking the weather at several courses before selecting the one with the best weather.
