Aspiro delivers SMS service to leading portal owner Scandinavia Online Aspiro has signed a contract with Scandinavia Online, owner of Scandinavia's leading portal network, for the delivery of Aspiro's International SMS network to its "Passagen" portal. The service allows users to send free SMS messages from the website portal to mobile phones within Sweden. The Aspiro International SMS network offers SMS switching services and is adapted to handle all the different local and international mobile operator standards, which means that users can send SMS messages to mobile phones in different countries. The first phase of the co-operation with Scandinavia Online is to begin immediately and will be three months in duration. During these months the deal is estimated to generate some 80,000 Euros in revenues for Aspiro. "Scandinavia Online is the largest portal network in Scandinavia. The implementation of the SMS Network will give Passagen visitors easy access to send free SMS messages directly from the portal in a quick and easy way to contacts all over Sweden," says Mattias Borg, Technical Product Manager at Aspiro.
