Aspiro handles SMS traffic for Dutch IT company Aspiro has signed an agreement regarding the handling of all SMS traffic for a Dutch IT company that distributes information about discotheques and nightlife to mobile phone users. The deal means that Aspiro becomes the Dutch IT company's chosen SMS operator. The IT company distributes information about discotheques and nightlife in Holland to mobile phone users. The signed agreement runs for two years and is non-exclusive. "In only a short time Aspiro has built up a competitive SMS service," says Stefan Sjödin, head of Aspiro's SMS products. "Today, we already handle a considerable share of all domestic Swedish SMS traffic. The agreement with the Dutch IT company demonstrates that Aspiro's service is also very attractive in the international market". Aspiro can provide portal owners and companies with easy access to most of the world's GSM operators via SMS. Using the SMS service, Aspiro's customers can reach mobile phone users with useful added value services such as customer service and marketing.
